Disjointed Ramblings Of An Artist's Mind (DROAAMS), are created using liquid graphite and pen. They are not planned but I just draw what I see appear in the graphite as it dries.
After watching a documentry about Beatrix Potter, I was inspired to paint some pictures with animals as the main characters.
The Tolkein inspired pictures are painted purely for fun and are not for sale. I started with an under-painting of sepia watercolour, then tinted with colour. It was a good exercise in seeing tones.
The little sketches are all started by using a random watercolour wash on card then seeing what images appear to be in the picture. Then it's just a case using a bit of imagination and drawing with a pen what appears to be there! Some of them are tinted with watercolour after the drawing has been completed.
